Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ascent Information Management, operating RestoMod Events (“RestoMod Events,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you browse the directory, create an account, save events on your device, submit an event, scan a flyer, or contact us. RestoMod Events is operated from Texas, United States.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: email address, password handled by our authentication provider, display name, confirmation status, account activity, and basic account identifiers returned by Google or Meta (Facebook) if you choose an enabled social sign-in option.
  • Submission information: event name, dates, times, venue and address, fees, organizer and public contact details, links, notes, recurrence, your name, rights attestation, and a request identifier used to prevent duplicate writes.
  • Flyers: the original JPEG, PNG, WebP, or PDF; file metadata; extracted text and suggested event facts; and your corrections. When you provide the required rights attestation and the event is published, we create and display a verified public rendition of that flyer. The submitted source remains in private storage as provenance.
  • Reports and support: listing corrections, complaints, messages, attachments, and information needed to respond and verify the request.
  • Claims and public-media changes: ownership evidence, the account bound to an approved claim, media-rights attestations, and an audit history of prior and replacement flyer references.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser and device information, request time, referring page, requested URL, security events, and diagnostic logs generated by hosting, authentication, and security systems;
  • session cookies or tokens needed to sign you in and protect the Service;
  • place-search requests and selected map results when you use location search; and
  • precise device location only when you affirmatively choose “Use my current location” and grant browser permission. We use it to resolve a city or locality and search nearby. We do not write the device’s precise coordinates to the public catalog or browser history.

Information kept on your device

Saved Events, unfinished Add-an-Event drafts, the held flyer needed to survive a sign-in handoff, recent resolved places, and location-search preferences may be stored in your browser using local storage, session storage, or browser databases. Saved Events are not account-synced. Clearing browser storage removes these device-only records.

2. How we use information

  • provide accounts, authentication, the directory, Saved Events, search, and support;
  • extract suggested facts from a flyer, let you review them, and process a submission;
  • detect duplicates, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and technical failures;
  • review, correct, publish, archive, remove, and document listings and complaints;
  • send transactional messages such as email confirmation and password reset;
  • maintain audit, rights, and consent records and establish or defend legal claims;
  • comply with law and protect people, rights, property, and the Service; and
  • measure and improve reliability using operational data. We do not currently use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising.

3. Automated flyer extraction

If you choose Scan a flyer, the flyer is sent to our automated flyer extraction service and its model provider to identify possible event facts. The result is a suggestion, not a decision, and is never submitted automatically. You can edit every field or use manual entry instead. The extraction service also receives a pseudonymous request ID and technical request data needed to return and troubleshoot the result. Do not upload sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for an event listing.

4. What becomes public

Published listings may show event facts such as the name, date, time, venue, city, street address, admission information, organizer or contact name, source and registration links, and an authorized public flyer. A public flyer can itself contain phone numbers, email addresses, names, faces, logos, and other information printed by its creator. Contact email and phone fields submitted separately are retained privately unless they are intentionally included in an authorized public flyer or separately approved for public display. Complete verified submissions may publish after automated checks; not every listing receives advance human review.

Some listing facts and event flyers may be collected from publicly available sources. Launch listings retain and display their source/original flyers as primary card and detail media. An authorized organizer may keep that flyer, upload an authorized replacement, or use Flyer Studio, which ships with five templates and five supplied starter vehicles. Organizer-provided or organizer-created media replaces the current flyer only after the authorized replacement is validated and saved. Superseded public media may be retained briefly for rollback and audit, then removed through a reviewed cleanup process when no listing references it.

An event owner or authorized representative can Browse Events and use Claim this event on an eligible unclaimed imported listing, use Report a listing, Correct a listing, follow the Copyright Policy removal process, or email info@restomodevents.com.

5. How we disclose information

We disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes above:

  • Supabase provides authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Google and Meta (Facebook) may act as optional sign-in identity providers. If social sign-in is enabled and you choose it, that provider authenticates you, returns your email address and basic account identifier to us, and receives the fact that you signed in to RestoMod Events. The provider's own privacy policy governs its independent processing.
  • Vercel hosts and delivers the website and processes request logs.
  • Mapbox processes place searches and map-related requests.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and security signals to distinguish people from bots when they create an account or submit protected public forms.
  • Flyer extraction providers process flyer bytes and technical request data when you choose automated extraction.
  • Professional advisers and authorities may receive information when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, rights protection, or legal claims.
  • A successor may receive information in a merger, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate protections and notice where required.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not currently use targeted advertising. Service providers may process information only to provide their services to us or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

6. Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, the continuing directory record, security and abuse prevention, backup cycles, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Account and private submission information is generally kept while the account or submission is active and during a reasonable deletion and backup period. Published event facts may remain as an archive or public record after an account closes. Rights attestations, moderation history, security logs, and complaint records may be retained longer when needed to document authorization, enforce policies, prevent repeat abuse, or establish or defend legal claims. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed.

7. Security

We use safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including encrypted network transport, access controls, private storage for submitted flyer source files, database row-level access rules, short-lived authorized staff previews, and audit logs for sensitive actions. No system is completely secure. Please use a unique password and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update account information, correct or report a listing, request access or a portable copy, request correction or deletion, or object to certain processing by emailing info@restomodevents.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We may verify your identity and authority before acting. Applicable law may allow us to retain information for security, fraud prevention, free expression, legal compliance, public records, or legal claims. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. If applicable law gives you an appeal right, reply “Privacy Appeal” and explain the decision you want reconsidered.

Some U.S. state laws provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain sales or targeted advertising, and appeal a denial. We honor applicable rights. Because we do not sell personal information or use cross-context behavioral advertising, there is presently no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to exercise. Browser privacy signals do not change essential authentication or security processing.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is a general-audience directory and is not directed to children under 13. People must be at least 18 to create an account or submit a listing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information should contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.

10. United States processing and third-party links

We and our providers process information in the United States and potentially other locations where providers operate. If you access the Service from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to the United States. The Service links to third-party event, venue, map, registration, and social-media sites. Their privacy policies, not this one, govern their independent processing.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the new version and effective date. For material changes affecting account holders, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email or a prominent Service notice when required.
